We have partnered in an impactful Erasmus+ project focused on promoting the social inclusion of visually impaired youth. "Be the Light with Empathy" project brought together organizations from Latvia, Hungary, Turkey, Ukraine, Czechia, Macedonia, Spain, and Poland, uniting youth workers with a shared mission: fostering empathy, breaking down barriers, and creating a more inclusive society.

The primary goals of the project were to:

Enhance the communication and empathy skills of youth workers to better support visually impaired individuals.

Promote social inclusion by addressing prejudices and fostering understanding of the challenges faced by visually impaired youth.

Encourage cultural exchange and international cooperation among participants.

Support youth workers in becoming advocates for an inclusive society by helping them realize their social responsibilities.

Strengthen participants’ ability to communicate across diverse cultures and contexts.

The project achieved remarkable outcomes:

Youth workers developed skills to communicate effectively with visually impaired individuals, enabling them to act as ambassadors for inclusivity.

Participants reported an increased ability to empathize and a deeper understanding of their social responsibilities.

The project fostered cultural exchange, strengthening bonds between participants from diverse countries.

Awareness about social inclusion grew, motivating participants to advocate for equal opportunities and active participation for visually impaired individuals in their communities.

This Erasmus+ project was not just about education and skill-building—it was a step towards creating a more open-minded and inclusive society. We are grateful to all the partners and participants for their commitment and passion.
